Memorializing National Tragedy

Sturkenverysmall
Six years after the attacks of September 11, 2001, Americans gathered yesterday to remember the day and its dead. Marita Sturken, author of Tourists of History: Memory, Kitsch, and Consumerism from Oklahoma City to Ground Zero, was on KPCC’s Patt Morrison yesterday to talk about the ways we honor and remember those who have passed. Sturken’s book will be available in November.
