Frueh and Social Text in Curve

The December issue of Curve Magazine features Joanna Frueh’s forthcoming book Clairvoyance (For Those In The Desert), which comes out in February. Reviewer Jenna V. Loceff
writes, "
Clairvoyance couples the strength of her words and the stage
direction, to give the reader quite a vivid look into the life of this
exceptional artist." The same issue features Duke journal Social Text in the annual "Smarty Pants" round-up of the year’s best in academic journals. There’s no link, but reviewer Julia Bloch writes, "This daring cultural studies quarterly made waves last fall with its special issue subtitled What’s Queer About Queer Studies Now? Co-edited by David L. Eng (editor of Queer in Asian America), the always compelling Judith Halberstam (Dude, Where’s My Gender? or Is There Life on Uranus?) and José Esteban Muñoz (Disidentifications: Queers of Color and the Performance of Politics)."
