cooke and Mamo featured on Feminist Review Blog

Both miriam cooke’s Dissident Syria: Making Oppositional Arts Official, and Laura Mamo’s  Queering Reproduction:  Achieving Pregnancy in the Age of Technoscience have recently been reviewed on the Feminist Review Blog

In the review of Dissident Syria, the blogger writes: "[H]er summaries of the major [Syrian] works allow readers to glimpse into a hard-to-access literature, little of which has been translated or made available to Western Audiences."

In the review of Queering Reproduction: "The book is well written and provides deep analysis of a modern, technoscientific medical world dealing with reproduction.  It is undoubtedly worth reading, especially if you are a single woman or a lesbian planning to set up a family."
