The annual Pop Conference at Seattle’s Experience Music Project starts today. The conference, now in its seventh year, joins
academics, critics, writers of all kinds and performers in a rare
common discussion. Last fall Duke published the second collection of essays to come out of the conference, Listen Again: A Momentary History of Pop Music, edited by Eric Weisbard. Weisbard and many of Listen Again‘s contributors will be attending the conference this year, as will fellow Duke authors Daphne A. Brooks, Arturo J. Aldama, Tim Lawrence, and Gayle Wald as well as forthcoming Duke author Oliver Wang.
