Addition of two titles to the 2017 journals list
Duke University Press is pleased to announce the additions of Archives of Asian Art and Qui Parle to its journal list. Archives of Asian Art publishes scholarship by leading specialists on the visual arts of South, Southeast, Central, and East Asia. One issue per year features an extensive selection of works of Asian art acquired by North American museums during the previous year. Qui Parle publishes articles on a range of theoretical and critical work in the humanities and social sciences including literature, philosophy, critical theory, visual studies, political theory, anthropology, and sociology. Contributors to the journal foster a dialogue across disciplines and introduce under-examined analytic modes and underrepresented critical voices. Both journals are published biannually.
New e-book subject collections
In 2017, Duke University Press will offer libraries two new e-book collections in gender studies and Latin American studies. Both collections are hosted on read.dukeupress.edu and are available through purchase or annual lease.
The Gender Studies e-book collection includes 548 essential titles and field-defining scholarship in queer theory, gay and lesbian studies, transgender studies, feminist theory, and women’s studies. The Latin American Studies collection includes 529 e-books in anthropology, art, cultural studies, Caribbean studies, Chicano and Latino studies, history, literature, film and media, politics, and other fields focused on Latin America.
